Guru Besar bidang Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat serta Rektor Universitas Mega Buana Palopo. Latar belakang akademik di bidang farmasi, Ilmu kesehatan masyarakat, dan ilmu kedokteran. Selain memimpin perguruan tinggi, ia aktif dalam berbagai organisasi pendidikan dan kesehatan nasional, menjadi pembicara di seminar internasional, serta terlibat dalam kerja sama akademik skala global. Fokus keilmuan dan penelitian tentang diabetes mellitus, perilaku kesehatan, pelayanan kesehatan, dan kesehatan masyarakat.
